The 3.1 Mansegil (3.1 Freedom Trail) is a 31-kilometer path that commemorates the most intense independence movement in Hwaseong, South Korea, during the Japanese occupation in 1919.

This project was not simply about recreating a historical site, but about reviving the spirit of freedom and independence through a modern perspective.
Initiated to mark the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Movement, it aimed to visually evoke the voices and footsteps of that historic day.

‘화성 3.1 만세길’은 일제강점기 당시 가장 격렬했던 화성 지역의 독립운동을 기념하는 31km의 길입니다. 이 프로젝트는 단순한 장소의 재현이 아니라, 자유와 독립의 정신을 오늘날의 감각으로 되살리는 것을 목표로 하며, 3.1운동 100주년을 맞아 그날의 외침과 발걸음을 시각적으로 되살리는 프로젝트였습니다.
